The Rickshaw Run

Take an adventure across India in a rickshaw

Ride in style and be prepared for any wild predators

“I’m gonna crap my pants!” is a phrase infrequently screamed during horror films, upside-down roller coaster rides and lastly, The Rickshaw Run.

Coined “the least sensible thing to do with two weeks” by The Adventurists, participants embark on a 3,500 kilometers escapade across India on country lyricists’ fifteenth-favorite term (#1 being beer), a lawn mower.

Traveling via auto rickshaws that bottom out at 55 kilometers per hour, participants are banned from using maps, backup and support.

It’s no surprise that only 70 percent of participants finish the race.

Odds of getting stranded are high, but a pimped-out ride, a charity counting on you and motivation to reach a debauchery-filled party at the finish line will keep you moving.

The next adventure is scheduled for September, traveling from the wetlands of Shillong to the desert oasis in Jaisalmer.

Adventurers be warned — Rickshaw Runs are "adventures at your own risk." So if you do end up soiling yourself, that's on you.
