Save the day at the Hero Rush 5K
Besides bachelorette parties and sliding down shiny poles, you can find firefighters (or at least people who want to be firefighters) at the Hero Rush.
The first firefighter-themed obstacle course designed by professional fire-stompers themselves, the Hero Rush is (literally) the hottest 5K in the nation.
Pushing participants through a course of more than 15 obstacles designed to simulate a day in the life of a hard-hatted hero (we’re talking four-alarm blaze or 9-1-1 emergency status), challenges include climbing ladders, sliding down poles and fighting or coughing through smoke and flames.
(We’re tempted put the Attorney General’s Warning here, but instead we’ll just warn you: inhale at your own risk).
Rushees will also help satisfy Enrique Iglesias and Mariah Carey’s calls for “Heroes” with search-and-rescue missions, baby-catching drills and CPR bouts.
And while we can’t confirm you’ll have to coax a cat out of a tree, we’re pretty sure it goes without saying.
