The National Color Run

We haven't paid anyone to throw paint at us since a miscommunication in a Bangkok hostel.

But we might reconsider our pay-for-paint prohibition thanks to the Color Run!

A 5K journey you can jog, run or walk, the Color Run has two very simple rules: Everyone must wear a white shirt; and everyone must get plastered!

Each kilometer of the fun run is distinguished by a different color of powder paint participants get pelted with by event volunteers and organizers.

At 1K it's yellow, 2K it's blue, 3K it's green, 4K it's pink and at the finish line it's a multi-hued blast.

And you can experience the fun in cities ranging from Vegas to New York!

After the race, celebrate with a rainbow of revelers at a colorful post-race party packed with food, drinks and live bands.

Just like when were in Bangkok! Minus that time an elephant stole our pants.
