NYC Sports Bar with Great Food
Pour George serves up good sports and better grub

Sports bars. Locker rooms. The Irish. These things don't normally inspire fine cuisine, let alone an appetite for anything other than starch-fueled destruction. Well, that's all about to change -- along with your Sunday afternoons (assuming the NFL gets its act together).
New West Village sports bar, Pour George, isn't the latest Boy George-themed Pour House location. It's a working marriage between foodies and sports fanatics.
Pour George serves food that'll sac any growling stomach. Just check out this menu, featuring braised pork belly, fried chicken and sautéed scallops smothered in bacon succotash. And to further shame your neighborhood sports bar, Pour George is stocked with eight HDTVs, an 84-inch projection screen and faux gym lockers and benches.
They'll also unveil a special brunch menu in time for football season. But, should that moment fail to arrive, the bar is stocked with roughly 50 whiskeys, 50 beers and a football field-length list of specialty cocktails. Touchdown, taste buds!
Like garlic knots and underwear, some things are better when they're fresh.
