The Diamond in Brooklyn hosts women’s arm wrestling competitions
When you think of arm wrestling, you probably picture burly lumberjacks, smoked-filled back rooms and Popeye-like freaks of nature.
But forearm-busting ladies? Nuh-uh.
Introducing a competitive twist to this ruthless sport, ladies arm wrestling at The Diamond bar in Brooklyn.
Instead of reserving wrist-locking contests to Y-chromosomes, this Greenpoint bar is going over the top on the glass ceiling.
Beginning with fräu-on-fräu action last November at the inaugural Ladies Arm Wrestling Championship, The Diamond hosted Ladies vs. Wimpy Guys in January, a bracket-style competition of hand-held duels between women and "technically small" men (weighing under 145-lbs).
Next up is a yet unnamed event planned for March. Will it be another battle of the sexes or more girl-on-girl action? Check our Facebook page in the coming weeks for the announced fight card!
