It's supposedly impossible for humans. But unbeknownst to us, there are probably a handful of freaks out there happily sucking ketchup off their elbows right now.

Equally amazing — and 10 times more sanitary — are the contestants competing in the 2012 USA Yoga Championship.

Hosted by the USA Yoga Federation, more than 100 competitors from 32 states are descending on the Hudson Theatre to get judged on their technical execution of seven chosen poses.

Don’t expect to see any downward-facing dog or cobra: these postures were designed to make you believe a person’s body is made of Play-Doh.

And even if you’re not a vegan, dread-locked, sun-salutating Yogi, you can still appreciate the weird-tastic idea of turning a meditative discipline into a no-pose-barred yoga throwdown!

And perhaps you’ll figure out how to lick your elbow.
