NBC Fight Night in BK

Boxer Zab Judah comes home to Brooklyn

Zab Judah is a Jab Shoota

When Mike Tyson took a healthy chomp out of Evander Holyfield's ear, we should have known boxing was on its way out.

But the new NBC Sports Network is doing its damnedest trying to bring it back in.

On March 24, the new network will broadcast a blockbuster bout featuring New York native and former welterweight champ Zab Judah vs. Vernon Paris.

And it's all going down in Judah's birthplace, Brooklyn.

Can't catch the fight in person? In addition to broadcasting the fight itself — and just like HBO's excellent series 24/7 — NBC will televise a 30-minute special dubbed Fight Night 36 on the training and prep going into the main event.

Who knows, if the series catches on it could save boxing ... and turn NBC Sports Network into a legit contender to ESPN.

Because Moses knows we've been waiting for someone to take a bite out of the World Wide Leaders for years.

Buy tickets; starting at $75; Fight Night 36 broadcast Mar 23, 24 at 7:30PM & 9:30PM
