Stand-Up Paddle Boarding
Paddle around the island of Manhattan at SEA Paddle NYC

“In excellent physical condition, loves to surf, runs marathons.”
Either we’ve just described a catchy user profile on a date site or the ideal candidate for SEAPaddle NYC.
At this all-day event hosted by Surfers’ Environmental Alliance, stand-up paddle boarders with varying levels of competitive edge embark on floating adventures around Manhattan.
Paddlers pursuing a quickie tanning sesh can enter the 4-mile West Side Paddle, while the Annual SEAPaddle, a 26.5-mile journey around the island, will satisfy bigger thrill-seekers.
For bionic-arm types with ultrarunner endurance, the Elite Paddle adds a healthy dose of competition, transforming the annual course boasting the George Washington Bridge and other iconic sights into an arms race — literally.
As you feel the burn (and curse yourself for registering), try to remember you’re saving the environment and supporting autism charities … oh, and an open bar is in your future.
Plus, it’s guaranteed to be the largest paddle in the US — meaning you can (hopefully) delete your dating profile once you're done.
