Training Camp at Chelsea Piers
Workout like a pro athlete at Chelsea Piers' Athletes Camp

We always wonder how pro athletes really train.
We also spend the holidays drinking gravy out of a thermos.
Chelsea Piers is kind enough to satisfy our exercise curiosity and impending diabetes crisis with their Athletes Camp, a series of workouts intended to replicate the intense circuit training of professional and collegiate athletes.
Sand pit suicides, track sprints, box jumps and sled pushes are just a few of the routines the Athletes Camp ripped from the team training playbook (minus all the memorization, team meetings and jockstrap wedgies).
Each class has a miniscule max of six participants, guaranteeing personal training-levels of attention, but in the kind of group atmosphere that gets the competitive juices flowing (if you're like us, that juice is mostly cranberry sauce).
The program lasts four weeks, which should be just enough time to shed holiday blubber for New Year's.
Because even if turkey day is done, Kris Pringle and the Hanukkah Hippo are waiting to pork you good.
